WHEN LIFE THROWS YOU LEMONS THE ABSOLUTE LAST THING YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT MAKING IS LEMONADE!

Covid 19 sent us all into a tailspin and no industry more so than Travel, Tourism and Hospitality.

Life once again has thrown us lemons and we are all scratching our heads as to what to do next. I have stood on stages all over the world before this pandemic speaking about how life has indeed thrown me lemons and the last thing I wanted to do was be the same as everyone else. I often ask the question of my audiences,

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN LIFE THROWS YOU LEMONS AND IN ALL CASES 98% OF THE AUDIENCE WILL SHOUT MAKE LEMONADE.

While I applaud the positivity in the room I also remind everyone that if the scenario was real then they are all now in the exact same Lemonade business selling to the exact same people and probably using the exact same supplies... how can we all survive that?

When the entire world has been put on pause as we await the coronavirus pandemic to pass, it may be difficult to look to the future, but as an entrepreneur you must do exactly that. You must brace for the political and economic impact that lies ahead; however, this does not mean that you cannot align your businesses with the operations of a post- pandemic world.

Down the road, companies and their leaders will be judged by how they handled (or didn’t handle) the COVID-19 pandemic. We know that it is not about whether or not they experienced the crisis, it is about how they managed it and how they recovered. The silver-lining throughout this pandemic is the opportunity to enhance your brand. Demonstrating the core values of your business to your staff, vendors, and customers will pay off in the future.
