About Lorraine
My Story
Born and raised in the United Kingdom, my early years were immersed in the hustle and bustle of my parents' restaurant. It was there that I developed a lifelong passion for hospitality and a relentless work ethic that has carried me across the globe — from the dynamic markets of Hong Kong, to the rolling hills of Ireland, to the vibrant cities of Canada.
Armed with expertise in marketing and communications, I owned and managed three successful restaurants before embarking on an entirely new chapter. In 2005, I established my own travel business in Canada — starting in the humble setting of an unfinished basement, driven by nothing but resilience and a deep love for the world.
That entrepreneurial spirit was put to the ultimate test when the untimely passing of my Canadian husband left me a young widow with four children. Undeterred by adversity, I pushed forward, transforming my basement startup into a thriving travel business that earned three prestigious Magellan Awards. Travel taught me that connection — real, human connection — is the most powerful force in the world.

Shaping the Global Conversation
Beyond my businesses, I've been fortunate to share my expertise on stages and national television screens worldwide — from captivating audiences on Cityline and CTV in Canada, to making waves on FOX in the USA. I've become a trusted authority in the realms of travel and hospitality, and a go-to voice for tourism boards and destinations looking to reach the right audiences.
In 2026, I was deeply honoured to be named one of the top 100 Outstanding Global Innovative Leaders for my contributions to tourism and travel media — a recognition that reflects a lifetime of dedication to this industry.

Travelling With Confidence
Today, my greatest passion is hosting exclusive, small-group journeys at least four times a year. These trips are designed to offer depth, culture, and meaningful connection — but more importantly, they offer absolute peace of mind.
When travellers join me, they know that if anything goes wrong, I am there to handle it. I've personally escorted a guest all the way to Paris to secure a replacement for a stolen passport. I've navigated political unrest to ensure every single person in my group got home safely. My expertise means my guests are always protected, supported, and free to simply enjoy the adventure.
When you travel with me, your only job is to show up with an open heart and a sense of wonder. I'll handle the rest.

Inspiring the Next Generation
I recently authored a children's conservation story to introduce young readers to the vital importance of protecting our planet. The story follows Neru, a curious baby mountain gorilla growing up in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest — a tale of family, habitat, and why the natural world matters.
The book is sold across Canada, the USA, and the UK, and I'm incredibly proud that the Uganda High Commission has purchased many copies to donate directly to schools across Canada.
