🎬 Lights, Camera, England!
A Quintessentially British TV Tour
On my first visit to Highclere Castle, the real-life Downton Abbey, our coach pulled up for that iconic photo in front of the grand façade. Excitement bubbled as everyone rushed off with cameras in hand, eager to capture the moment just as it appears in the opening of the show. In the flurry, we barely noticed a modest car idling patiently behind us.
I leaned in to apologize to the man seated quietly in the back, explaining we just needed a few minutes for our photo before moving along. He gave a polite smile, and I thought nothing more of it.
That evening, dressed in gowns and pearls for a cocktail reception inside the castle, I looked up as Lord Carnarvon himself descended the staircase to greet us. My heart sank — it was the very same man from the car. My face turned beetroot red as I realised we had been holding up the master of the house in his own driveway.
It is one of those unforgettable travel moments that makes Highclere so much more than a filming location. It is a living, breathing estate with stories of its own — and the perfect place to begin our journey through the legendary sets and scenes of England.
This September, step with me into the world of Downton Abbey, wander the Georgian streets of Bridgerton’s Bath, and explore the honey-stone villages of the Cotswolds — including a visit to Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm and pub. For those who wish to see even more, you are welcome to join me on an optional extension to the north of England, where we will walk the legendary cobbles of Coronation Street.
From stately homes to cosy tearooms, elegant high teas to hearty pub dinners, this is your chance to experience England as though you were stepping into your favourite show.

A Special Note from Lorraine
In my industry, I often have the opportunity to open doors that large commercial tour operators simply cannot. That means you can expect surprises along the way — special touches and insider experiences that make this journey truly unique.
This is a small group tour, not a big coach trip with 50 people. You will be travelling with a group of like-minded guests who share a love of British classic television and film.
As someone who was born here, I know this country intimately. I can show you secret places, introduce you to beautiful hidden corners, and share my England with you as only an insider can.
